What to Know Before You Order
Q: Can a mix of movie film, prints, slides or videotape
be included in the same order?
A: No, each media type must be put into a new separate Digital
Transfer Services order bag, as separate orders. There can
be no mixing of different types of media in the same order.
Q: Should film reels, slides and prints be transferred
in a preferred sequence?
A: Yes, and this can be done by using the numbered stickers
included with the Digital Transfer Services order bag to
label film reels, slide boxes and prints. All slides should
be bundled or boxed in sets of 25 to 50. To enable us to
transfer your slides precisely in the order you would like
to view, number the slides within each bundle, and clearly
identify the order of the bundles (set 1, set 2, etc.).
Q: What if the numbered stickers are not available?
A: Customers should use their own means of numbering the
reels, slides or prints in a clear, identifiable sequence:
• Film Reels – place the sequence number on the
reel
• Slides – slides should be numbered in viewing
order and boxed
• Prints – place the sequence number on the back
of the photograph
Q: Will my original media (videotape, slides, etc.) be
returned?
A: Yes, the media and reels or containers will be returned
with the completed order. Note that movie film will be returned
spliced and cleaned onto YesVideo-supplied reels.
Q: What extra charges should be expected?
A: There are no extra charges for normal service. There
are no hidden charges for splicing, cleaning, or music backgrounds.
There will be a nominal repair charge for broken or damaged
videotapes that were obviously broken prior to shipment.
